Paris 2009!!!

AAAAHHH  Paris..the City of Lights and Romance.........guess what friends.........it is really all that and more.....What an incredible city....I have been lucky enough to travel to a lot of cities......and Paris is by far my absolute favorite....

The city is so clean......so pretty...the famous sites....the narrow streets dotted with cute boutiques and cafes, the flower shops...the pastries and chocolates.....the architecture....everything is perfect in Paris.....

The people were lovely as well........I know that probably shocks a lot of you...but the Parisians were helpful, polite and pleasant to us.  The only grouch we encountered was the "concierge" at the public restroom at the Luxembourg Gardens.....we will let him slide...I would be nasty as well if I worked in a public toilet all day.

The food was delicious...especially the breakfast....each morning we woke up to fresh squeezed orange juice and the most delectable croissants you can imagine...crispy, yet light and fluffy....was it wrong that I ate 3 each morning in the matter of 2 mintues?????

Another noteworthy food mention.....the "hot chocolate".....The beautiful tea salon called Angelina is known for the best hot chocolate in the city........the hot chocolate in Paris is very chocolaty and extremely thick...almost syrup like..

The metro system in Paris is wonderful as well....clean, seemed safe, maps all over the underground.....the only issue for me was....my return ticket didn't work....so I had to do the limbo under the gate to get out.

Also, a necessity but very unnerving were the soldiers walking all over the area of the Eiffel Tower wth machine guns and their fingers on the trigger.......

Notre Dame...the Lourve.....Rue St. Honore...everything in Paris is like a dream.

I am back!!

Hey friends......I am back from Paris.....check back tomorrow...I am going to write about some of the silly highlights of the trip.....

Like when I accidently ate goat cheese (eeeeeeewwww!!!  yuck!!!) instead of what I thought was mozzarella......I almost threw up......I spit it into the napkin....and proceeded to wipe off my tongue with another napkin....it tasted like musty old socks.    My husband says he feels like he has 4 children (we have 3)...

  I don't know....is it me or is this idiot, Nadya Suleman, that now has 14 children and no job look like a puppet..........isn't her mouth disturbing???  I think she had some bad plastic surgery.....this entire situation is disturbing......I think the doctor that implanted all of those embryo's should lose his/her license.   FOURTEEN KIDS????????????????????????  This is insanity.

NEW YORK (Feb. 4) - Never mind the 40-foot snake that menaced Jennifer Lopez in the 1997 movie "Anaconda." Not even Hollywood could match a new discovery from the ancient world.

Fossils from northeastern Colombia reveal the biggest snake ever discovered: a behemoth that stretched 42 to 45 feet long, reaching more than 2,500 pounds.

Fossils found in Colombia reveal an ancient giant snake that stretched 42 to 45 feet long and weighed more than 2,500 pounds. "This thing weighs more than a bison and is longer than a city bus," said Jack Conrad of the American Museum of Natural History in New York. This is an artist's reconstruction of the behemoth, the biggest snake ever discovered.

"It could easily eat something the size of a cow. A human would just be toast immediately."

"If it tried to enter my office to eat me, it would have a hard time squeezing through the door," reckoned paleontologist Jason Head of the University of Toronto Missisauga.

Actually, the beast probably munched on ancient relatives of crocodiles in its rainforest home some 58 million to 60 million years ago, he said.

Head is senior author of a report on the find in Thursday's issue of the journal Nature.

(The same issue carries another significant report from the distant past. Scientists said they'd found the oldest known evidence of animal life, remnants of steroids produced by sponges more than 635 million years ago in Oman.)

You all  know by now, I have no qualms telling it like it is...well I have now seen it all...........LOSERS.........Denny's Restaurants (Hello, white trash) were giving out a free "Grand Slam" breakfast yesterday from 6am-2pm......I believe the "Grand Slam" consists of 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 pieces of sausage, and 2 pancakes.....I am  not sure what the price is but I am sure it is under 10.00....probably about 5.99........

You should have seen the lines wrapped around Denny's Restaurants yesterday......the crowds were so massive it actually made the Nightly News.........

Can you imagine waiting in line for a free breakfast????  You know 90% of those who stood in line are fat........to save 5.99.........you stand in line for hours............what the F??????  LOSERS.
