 Do you want to know what I find especially irritating????  CHEAP PEOPLE.  They annoy me so much that I want to punch them........

How annoying is it when you go to a restaurant with people/friends and they nit pick over who ate what when the check comes??  Just fucking split the bill...........what is the big deal????  If you can't afford an extra 5.00 that a friend spent maybe having a dessert when you didn't ....STAY THE HELL HOME and eat a frozen dinner in front of the TV.........LOSERS.

OR....the people in order to save a buck just get an appetizer...and make the rest of the dinner companions at the restaurant feel awkward............

I once had a date with a dentist.....he refused to pull into a parking lot for 8.00...so we wasted 30 minutes driving around the block 100 times so we could get a spot on the street.....NEVER WENT OUT WITH THAT DUDE AGAIN.....stupid Cheapskate!!!!!!!

Talk about cheap...one time at work party....everyone was assigned an item to contribute to the food  buffet....one guy signed up to bring in torilla chips... ..guess what the jack ass did....he bought in a used bag that was half eaten...a crumbled bag with a rubber band around it!!!  This loser was the first one in the buffet line to grab all of the entrees and expensive fare that others bought it...that creep.

Read Wallet Pop's list of the cheapest people ever....it is so  funny.........SOMEONE ACTUALLY FUNNELS SALAD DRESSING FROM THE BOTTOM OF EVERYONE'S USED SALAD BOWLS AND PUTS IT BACK INTO TH BOTTLE!!!!!

I am going to elaborate on this topic when I have more time,  because this is a huge pet peeve of mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Damn Tightwads!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Tale of the English Trifle.....

a Ah......the English Trifle......a beautiful show piece of a dessert........

An English Trifle is a gorgeous confection made with homemade Itallian cream (similar to vanilla pudding)....sponge cake..........fruit...usually strawberries and raspberries.......all of these wonderful ingredients are all layered in a beautiful crystal bowl.......then topped with fresh whipped cream.

I make a very terrific English Trifle...hence one of my best friends asked me to make one for her for her daughter's First Holy Communion party for 100 guessts this past Saturday......

I happily awoke early on Saturday morning to create my master piece.....I carefully stirred the homemade Italian cream until it was the smoothiest, creamiest consistency........I made the light as air sponge cakes.......gently mixed the berries with just the right amout of sugar.......then I lovingly layed the entire dessert into a gorgeous crystal bowl........then I whipped the heavy cream into a frothy topping for my jazzy trifle.......just to add a touch more of fanciness....I put a fresh peony flower on the top.....

I carefully carried the trifle out to my car......placed it on the floor of the front passenger seat of my car....quickly turned on the air condition so that the trifle would not melt....and set off for the 25 mile journey to my friend  Gina's house........

It was beautiful day...I was going to spend the day at a nice party...I was wearing a pretty new dress.....all was right with the world.....UNTIL.........the traffic in front of me stopped and all of a sudden I had to slam on the brakes.........when all of a sudden......my beautiful, perfect trifle.........that was to be the highlight of the dessert buffet at my friends party went...PLOP...yep.....it fell out of the bowl onto the floor of my car......all the cream...cake and fruit...all in a messy heap on the floor mat....

I went into a panic....I pulled over.........picked all of the mess up with my hands...put it back in the bowl.........wiped my hands on a sweatshirt that I had in my back seat.....called my mom to tell her to pick up some "Cool Whip" (she was on her way to the party as well).......

When I arrived at the house....luckily I was arriving early when only the caterer was there......she helped me put what was left of the mangled trifle in another bowl...we washed out the crystal bowl...put the trifle back in its orignal bowl...topped it wth the "cool whip"....put the peony back on top..........and wa la..........when it was time for dessert...the trifle made a big hit with the guests and no one would have guessed that a few hours earlier it was sitting "splat" on the floor mat of my car.....I know...I am awful........I told my girlfriend whose party it was...and she laughed.

Is Something Wrong with Me?????

Today on Facebook there was a quiz....."Name five things you hate that everyone else seems to love".......and it got me thinking.......I have several things in my life that I just have no time for..........but it seems like everyone else in the world does........

Millions of you watch American Idol..........I have zero interest in it..........if you put a gun to my head and asked me to name the finalist..........I wouldn't be able to.....you would have to shoot me......I think David Cook is a  adorable..........I enjoy Kelly Clarkson's music.....Simon Cowell and Randy are annoying.........but other than that.....nada.........

Coffee drinking and Starbucks.......everyone talks about their chi latte's and such......my kids even hangout at the local Starbucks......me..........I don't like or drink coffee.........and the only time I have ever been in a Starbucks was in NYC........I had to pee so bad......and that was the only bathroom I could find before I wet my pants.....wala.....my trip to Starbucks......

iPods..........I don't hate them at all......my kids and husband have them.......me??  I don't like putting those little plugs in my ears.......so I don't look "hip" at the gym while doing the eliptical machine..........I look like a dork that stares into space.......

Shop at Walmart.......I prefer Target..............I don't want to offend anyone......sooooo.....enough said.

Everyone is into "hip and trendy" food such as goat cheese........it is on almost every dish and salad in a cool , upscale restaurant..........eating something that smells and tastes like old sweat socks......no way...yuck.

Speaking of cheese.....you would have to knock me out and drug me up to put any product in my mouth with the words.... .......fat free..........low fat..... .....diet.........low cal..... The same goes for anything that has "soy" on the label.....or tofu......kill me now.......the funny thing about these low fat products...the people that you see buying and eating them .....are usually overweight...... I don't know....maybe you think I am strange....weird...different......but you can never say I follow the "crowd".......I for sure.....have my own mind.

Prom Dresses 2009 vs 1977

  I consider myself a stylish person...always into beautiful clothes that are classic, elegant with a stylish edge to them..........

For the past two weeks both my sons have gone to their proms.........what a difference 3 decades make when it comes to prom attire.........dresses in particular........

The dresses now are so gorgeous.........the girls look like the are going to be walking the red carpet at the Academy Awards.......the dresses are sleek....very sexy..........stylish...sparkly.......elegant....with slits up the side to show off some leg.....hardly any material on the backs of the dresses..........to show off a nice 17 year old figure...........the girls now also go get their hair done in formal updo's........they get their nails manicured and feet pedicured......they honestly look like movie stars............

Now let's rewind to my prom in 1977...........looking back...........I as well as everyone going to proms in "those days".........look like little Pollyanna's from Little House on the Pairie.....Gunne Sax dresses....we looked like those ladies from the Poligamist ranch in Texas...not one bit of sex appeal........I get all down in the dumps when I see these 17 year olds of today all glammed up for their proms and I think back to what dorks we were.............that is when we had the figures to wear the sexy dresses.........but they really were not avaiable to us back then.....these were the ugly styles of yester year....

Oh and we never got updo's for our hair back then............we had the Farrah Faucett wings for bangs....... I am not thinking the guys thought we were so "hot" back then.........I can't see any of these 70's dresses being so alluring that our dates wanted to rip them off of us.............so at least we didn't have to worry about date rape......These dresses definitely didn't scream "Fuck Me Now"..............

Well............in my next life I hope to be born into a stylish prom era.....
