Calling all sports fans! Mark your calendars for Wednesday night, March 30, 2011 9pmEST/6pmPST.......Ross Bernstein, best selling author, and internationally recognized motivational speaker is live with us on Chit Chat Cafe Live! Click Listen Live http://www.artistfirst.com/chitchat.htm
Ross Bernstein is a motivational speaker, author of Raising Stanley, and is the best-selling author of nearly 50 sports books. Ross has appeared on thousands of television and radio programs over his career, including CNN, NPR and ESPN, as well as on the covers of the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and USA Today. As a nationally recognized motivational speaker, Ross uses sports as a metaphor for life and for business to energize and inspire his audiences, ultimately getting them to think differently. From audiences ranging in size from 40 to 40,000, Ross regularly speaks to corporations, sales groups and trade associations around the country — specializing in the topics of “Ethics & Accountability” and “Passions & Legacies.”
Ross is from Minnesota, and spent five years in Chicago and New York City, as the vice president of marketing for a children’s entertainment company that he co-founded along with several former executives from the Walt Disney Company. Ross decided to pursue his dream, and became a full-time sports author. Since then he has written nearly 50 books — ranging from critically acclaimed national biographies, to regional coffee-table chronicles, to inspirational children's memoirs. He even found time to co-found and serve as the editor (for two years) of Minnesota Hockey Journal, a magazine with a circulation of 50,000+ readers.
We'll talk with Ross about "Raising Stanley," the many stories from players, coaches, and all who share one common denominator -- they had the distinct privilege of hoisting Lord Stanley's holy grail. .....The Stanley Cup over their heads!! To raise the Stanley Cup means.....you are the winner! We'll hear from Ross as he tells us about off the bench brawls, hockey superstitions, the respect they share for the sport. We are excited to hear Ross talk about playoff beards, the dramatic game-sevens, the closed-door captain's practices, the coaching wisdom, the crazy superstitions, the "playoff make-up" (the cuts, stitches and bruises on their faces), and of course their "Day with the Cup". Some stories will make you laugh, some will make you cringe, and some will even make you cry. Ross will tell us what it meant for the players to raise the Cup, but also about the deeper significance of how that achievement has effected or changed their lives. The raw emotion and personal stories of determination, courage and perseverance.
As a nationally recognized professional motivational speaker, Ross' clients include Fortune 500 sales groups, Best Buy, 3M, John Deere, Mayo Clinic, and Cargill to name a few.
Ross has been interviewed and written about in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, The Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times, and Maxim. Ross has appeared on Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, and ESPN.
