Things we love....cooled coffee grounds to exfoliate dry skin on your hands!
We've all enjoyed the smell of coffee the first thing in the morning. Now after enjoying the delicious aroma and taste, we like to apply the cooled coffee grounds to our hands for oh so soft skin! Using this homemade spa treatment will leave your skin feeling smooth, luxurious, and as if you spent time on an expensive spa treatment.
After you brew your favorite coffee, don't throw the coffee grounds in the trash...(the garden, yes...the grounds will perk up those flowers!) you can use the coffee grounds to exfoliate your hands.
Brew your favorite coffee, let the coffee grounds cool. Mix a 1/2 cup of coffee grounds with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and gently rub onto your hands. The coffee grounds will exfoliate and soften your skin.
This "coffee treatment" gently slough off dead skin cells revealing fresh new skin underneath! Those with dry skin may want to follow this coffee facial and hand/body treatment with a moisturizer.
I gave myself this decadent coffee exfoliating hand treatment this morning in the kitchen sink. I enjoyed delicious Guatemala Antigua coffee on this chilly October morning, let the coffee grounds cool, and then mixed the cooled grounds and olive oil. I smoothed in onto my hands gently rubbing them back and forth, rinsing with warm water, dried my hands, and....Voila....soft, smooth, fresh skin.
*As always if you have allergies, irritations, cuts, etc., please consult your physician prior to using this treatment.
